PhD: Works in Progress

Presented at Dundee School of Architecture Degree Show is a selection of current work in progress of four out of the five research students who enrolled in the Doctoral programme in September 2009. This research is practice-led, practice-based, practice-centred, and directly linked to design problems.
Cameron McEwan uses this opportunity to develop analogical design strategies in preparation for a multiple-case study. Alex Pearson clarifies his research context in order to convey that study’s scope and defines methods for testing the approach. Doug Pearson presents extracts from his work on the Scottish Tower House, anticipating an exhibition later in the year.  Aidan Williams exhibits a retrospective of his work since enrolling, evaluating the argument in order to advance his research.
